After the most recent Windows 10 update we have found that a number of laptop keyboards are becoming unresponsive.
There is an easy fix for this and you will not require a keyboard to do it, follow this step by step to resolve the unresponsive keyboard issue.
- Step 1 – RIGHT click on the windows button located at the bottom left of the screen, then click on “Device manager”
Step 2 – You will see a list of all the different devices affiliated with your machine, under keyboard you will see that “HID Keyboard Device” will have a yellow warning next to it
Step 3 – RIGHT click on this device then click on “Uninstall device”
Step 4 – Tick the box that says “Delete the driver software for this device” (To fix the unresponsive keyboard issue you must complete this step)
Step 5 – Restart your laptop and the issue should be resolved
